Flau’jae Johnson, in addition to being a force on the court, enjoys displaying her passion behind the microphone. Earlier this week, the LSU women’s basketball star shared her own remix of Latto’s hot single “Put It On Da Floor.” The video quickly went viral on social media due to a specific line in which Johnson alluded to the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks in New York.
“In this 911, blowing smoke just like them towers,” she rapped. The name of the bar refers to both 9/11 and the name of a specific Porsche model.
The video has since been removed from YouTube, and LSU has issued an official apology on Johnson’s behalf. “While she never intended to offend or upset anyone with her lyrics, she expressed sincere remorse for any possibility of misunderstanding and immediately took the video down,” LSU said in a statement to FOX News. “We will all grow and learn from this experience together.”

The athlete has yet to respond to the incident.
The LSU Lady Tigers had a whirlwind season earlier this year and finished it victorious. The team defeated the Iowa Hawkeyes in the 2023 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament.
Johnson has been interested in music since he was a child. At the age of 13, she appeared on “The Rap Game,” and at the age of 14, she auditioned for “America’s Got Talent” and received a golden buzzer.
In a recent interview with “The Breakfast Club,” the 19-year-old singer revealed some information about her new deal with Roc Nation. “I own my masters and such, and they just provide me with the resources.” “I have creative control,” she explained. “I really like it over there. What I want to do and what I’m studying is start my own record label, so this is really preparing me and showing me the ropes. It’s similar to an internship, but it’s my job.”
