After being reposted by a parody account, a manipulated image purporting to show Nigerian chef Hilda Baci with a Guinness World Records certificate was widely shared on Twitter.
Baci, 27, has gained international attention after cooking nonstop for 100 hours in Lagos in an attempt to break Indian Chef Lata Tondon’s 2019 record of 87 hours 45 minutes.
Guinness World Records says it is aware of the attempt and is looking forward to receiving the evidence “to review before we can confirm the record is official.”
The image being shared on Twitter, however, has been edited, and the Twitter account that shared it is not her genuine account, but rather a parody account.
But that hasn’t stopped some users from replying to congratulate Baci.
