Lil Durk has been making headlines in anticipation of his upcoming album, Almost Healed. Fans have seen him go back and forth with NBA Youngboy, 6ix9ine, in recent weeks, and now he is addressing his beef with Gunna. Durk went viral after unfollowing his former collaborator after learning of his release from prison. Rappers such as Lil Baby, Polo G, and others appeared to have followed suit after a video of the “Pushing P” performer admitting that YSL was a gang during the trial was released.
Social media users reacted negatively to the rapper’s release from prison. Meek Mill posted and deleted a welcome home post on Instagram shortly after the news of the YSL affiliate’s return became public. Many fans are waiting for Young Thug’s opinion on whether they should accept Gunna. When asked if he believes Gunna told the truth during the YSL trial, Lil Durk told DJ Akademiks, “If you a rat, you a rat.”

There has been much speculation about whether rappers would feel comfortable working with Gunna after his early release from prison. “I despise all rats,” Lil Durk exclaimed passionately. If you have ever told, or will ever tell, I despise you. That took away half of my life, it took away my father, and I needed him.” The Chicago-bred street lyricist is well-known for his values. After dealing with his fair share of legal issues, he does not support snitching.
