On Tuesday (May 30), a video of Gunna teasing new music surfaced on social media. The Atlanta talent can be seen with associates in the short clip, while a snippet of an unreleased song plays in the background. “He forgave me for my sins, now they mad I got out,” he raps before the video cuts out.
As Rap-Up previously reported, many of Gunna’s peers have chastised him for entering an Alford plea in December 2022, which resulted in his release from prison in the midst of a highly publicized YSL RICO case. Boosie Badazz was among the first artists to call Gunna a “rat.”
“This would have brought tears to my eyes,” Boosie said on Twitter. “My artist, my brother.” “Like [what the f**k], I’m fighting for my life because I’m not the leader of a gang [or]criminal enterprise, and you do this to big dog.”

Despite this, Gunna and his legal team have maintained that he has not violated any street rules.
“While I have agreed to always be truthful, I want to make it perfectly clear that I have NOT made any statements, have NOT been interviewed, have NOT cooperated, have NOT agreed to testify or be a witness for or against any party in the case, and have absolutely NO intention of being involved in the trial process in any way,” said the “pushin P” rapper in an open letter to fans and supporters.
Gunna, a close friend, and longtime collaborator of Young Thug, and several others were indicted on racketeering and gang activity charges by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis a little more than a year ago. While many of those arrested have followed Gunna’s lead and pleaded guilty, Thug remains imprisoned as he fights for his freedom.
