Prince Harry appeared in London’s High Court of the Royal Courts of Justice to testify against Britain’s Mirror Group Newspapers (MGN). He accused the tabloids of unlawfully accessing his phone in 2004, which resulted in paparazzi knowing his location while spending time with his late ex-girlfriend Caroline Flack, who died by suicide in 2020.
During his testimony, Harry clarified that the photographers were already present before his arrival, emphasizing that the evening was a private moment between him and Flack. Their brief fling in 2009, introduced by their mutual friend Caroline Pinkham, ended abruptly due to media scrutiny and public perception.

Flack, a well-known TV presenter, tragically took her own life at the age of 40. The article that Harry referenced in court, which covered their dinner date, was among several instances where British tabloids allegedly obtained information through unethical means.
Harry highlighted the detrimental impact of the tabloid press on his life, citing constant surveillance and invasion of privacy. He expressed his belief that the press played on his mental health struggles and exploited them for their own gain.

In his testimony, Harry also discussed the strain the media put on his relationship with longtime girlfriend Chelsy Davy. The couple faced intense scrutiny and felt constantly under surveillance, which ultimately led to the end of their on-and-off relationship.
Eventually, Harry found happiness with his wife Meghan Markle, and they now reside in California with their children. Throughout his testimony, Harry conveyed the harmful effects of tabloid intrusion on his personal life and mental well-being.
