The prestigious music awards in the United States will now recognize the talents of African artists with a dedicated category, showcasing the growing worldwide acclaim for genres like afrobeat and Amapiano.
The Grammy Awards recently revealed the addition of the “Best African Music Performance” category during Tuesday’s announcement. This new category will make its debut at the upcoming ceremony, joining two other exciting additions: Best Alternative Jazz Album and Best Pop Dance Recording.
