“Smallville” Actor Allison Mack Released from Prison in Sex-Trafficking Case.
Allison Mack, known for her role in the television series “Smallville,” has been released from a California prison after pleading guilty in connection with a sex-trafficking case involving the group NXIVM. The 40-year-old actor served a three-year sentence and was released from a federal prison in Dublin, California. Her release was confirmed by online records maintained by the Federal Bureau of Prisons and reported by the Albany Times-Union.
Mack’s guilty plea stemmed from her involvement in manipulating women to become sex slaves for NXIVM leader Keith Raniere. By cooperating with federal authorities, she received a reduced sentence and was required to complete 1,000 hours of community service. Mack played a key role in providing evidence against Raniere, who was convicted and sentenced to 120 years in prison on sex-trafficking charges.

The case exposed the existence of a secret society within NXIVM called DOS, where women were branded with Raniere’s initials and subjected to various forms of exploitation. As a high-ranking member, Mack recruited women and oversaw their activities within the group. The prosecution revealed that DOS members were coerced into performing labor, engaging in sexual acts, and having their naked images recorded during the branding process.
Among the individuals involved in the group were Clare Bronfman, an heiress to the Seagram’s liquor fortune, and a daughter of TV star Catherine Oxenberg. During her sentencing, Mack expressed remorse and regret for her choices, acknowledging the impact of her actions.
