Kennedy Osei Nyarko, who serves as the Member of Parliament (MP) representing Akim Swedru in the Eastern Region, has strongly advocated for the endorsement of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) potential flagbearer. Osei Nyarko is resolute in his belief that Dr. Bawumia is the optimal choice to lead the party to triumph in the upcoming 2024 general elections.
According to him, his familiarity with all the candidates vying for the flagbearer position uniquely positions him to express his view on the matter. Having interacted with each candidate and attentively listened to their perspectives, he confidently asserts that the path to breaking the eight-year cycle lies with a single candidate—Dr. Bawumia.
In an interview with Accra-based Original FM, Osei Nyarko shared, “While I maintain close relationships with each candidate individually, I have diligently assessed their qualities. My firm conviction is that, for the NPP to overcome the eight-year pattern, there exists only one individual capable of leading us to that victory. Dr. Bawumia is our choice, and we must rally our support behind him.”
Elaborating on his stance, he emphasized Dr. Bawumia’s consistent display of competence throughout the years. Osei Nyarko firmly believes that Dr. Bawumia’s track record positions him as the most suitable candidate for the party. “In my capacity as a member of this government, I have worked alongside Dr. Bawumia, and I can attest to his competency and capability,” he stated.
