Ghanaian reggae dancehall artist, Samini, has boldly asserted that his hit track ‘My Own’ surpasses any song produced by the “big four” artists in the industry – Sarkodie, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy, and himself. According to Samini, even in his absence, none of these artists could create a song that could outshine ‘My Own,‘ and he doesn’t consider himself on the same level as them in the music world.
He explained, “As far as I’m concerned, I’m minding my business, and I’m actually not on the same level as these guys when it comes to music, you understand?”

Samini stressed that comparing emerging artists to seasoned musicians like himself is unfair and places unnecessary pressure on the newcomers. He believes it’s unreasonable to expect the new generation of artists to instantly attain his level of success. “But I think it’s unfair pressure to these kids when you want to bring them to my level like that,” he remarked.
In response to those who claim his career has slowed down, Samini responded confidently, saying, “Go get a degree and come back.”
Despite his absence from the music scene, Samini believes that none of the current hit songs can rival his own, particularly pointing to ‘My Own’ as a standout track.
Samini also praised Stonebwoy for his recent project, ‘5th Dimension,’ and expressed that, among the “big four” artists, the only impressive release came from Stonebwoy’s camp.
