Ayra Starr recently opened up about the journey behind her hit single ‘Rush’ during an interview with Billboard, shedding light on the doubts she initially harbored about its release.
Despite being a sensational singer and songwriter with a growing global fanbase, Ayra Starr admitted to facing uncertainty before launching ‘Rush’. She confessed that it took some persuasion from others to convince her to release the song.

However, ‘Rush’ defied expectations upon its debut, swiftly ascending to the top of the TurnTable Top 100 charts in Nigeria and gaining traction internationally, notably in the UK and France. The accompanying music video amassed over 300 million views, setting a new benchmark for Nigerian female artists.
