Today, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu arrived in Ondo State for an official visit, touching down at Akure, the state capital, earlier in the day.
Accompanied by a delegation, President Tinubu’s Nigerian Airforce jet landed at Akure airport at 11:35 am, marking the beginning of his engagements in the state.
Upon arrival, the President received a warm welcome from Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, and other dignitaries, including prominent political figures.
A ceremonial presidential parade was held at the airport terminal to honor President Tinubu’s visit to the Sunshine State.
During his visit, President Tinubu’s schedule includes a trip to the palace of the Olowo of Owo, Oba Ajibade Ogunoye.
Additionally, President Tinubu will pay respects to the families of the late former Governor of Ondo State, Oluwarootimi Akereodolu, in Owo. This gesture underscores the President’s commitment to offering support and solidarity to bereaved families, reflecting his compassionate approach to governance.
Another key item on the President’s agenda is a courtesy visit to Pa Reuben Fasoranti, the National Leader of the Pan-Yoruba socio-cultural organization, Afenifere, at his residence in Akure. This visit aims to foster dialogue and strengthen the relationship between the federal government and the influential Yoruba socio-cultural body.
