Herbert Krapa, Chairman of the governing board of the Electricity Corporation of Ghana (ECG), has provided assurance that the ongoing power outages will soon become a thing of the past.
He affirmed that the government has taken effective measures to ensure uninterrupted power supply for consumers.
Mr. Krapa stressed the government’s acknowledgment of the challenges faced by Ghanaians and its dedication to resolving them for the citizens’ welfare.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, April 24, Mr. Krapa expressed appreciation to the Ghanaian people for their patience and resilience during this challenging period.
“As I mentioned earlier today at Kaleo during the Commissioning of VRA’s 15MW Solar Plant, the Government has implemented immediate measures to restore uninterrupted power supply to consumers. I can confidently say that the unfortunate power challenges facing Ghanaians will soon be resolved,” he stated.
“We have full confidence that the measures being implemented will address the service disruptions. We understand the plight of all consumers and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the outages in our daily lives. Please bear with us. We are working on it, and we are almost there,” Herbert Krapa’s post continued.
Over the past seven weeks, power consumers nationwide have been contending with intermittent power cuts, commonly referred to in Ghana as “Dumsor.”
