The governor is committed to enhancing the infrastructure of Ile-Ife.
Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun expressed his determination to revive the ancient city of Ile-Ife.
During a visit to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja, in Ile-Ife, Adeleke emphasized the need to restore the city’s former grandeur.
Adeleke observed with disappointment the deterioration of infrastructure in Ile-Ife whenever he passed through the town.
He assured of increased investment in infrastructure to rejuvenate Ile-Ife, a pivotal location in Yorubaland.
Previously, Prof. Wale Ladipo, a former National Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), commended Ooni for his support of the governor and the state government.
Ladipo praised the governor’s efforts, including the construction of a flyover in Ile-Ife, and other infrastructure projects.
In response, Oba Ogunwusi acknowledged the governor’s commitment to balanced growth and development across all communities in the state.
The Oba emphasized the necessity for improved road networks in Ife and its surroundings, alongside other developmental initiatives.
