A leaked contractual agreement between Nigerian singer, Badmus Okikiola Habeeb, widely known as Portable, and car dealer Ogunsanwo Temitope (Temmy Autos) has surfaced online, shedding light on the ongoing controversy surrounding the musician’s recent arrest by Lagos Policemen.
Portable was apprehended for allegedly defaulting on a N14 million debt arising from his purchase of a G-Wagon from the car dealer. Despite the vehicle’s total worth of N27 million, Portable only paid an initial sum of N13 million and refused to settle the outstanding N14 million, citing issues with the vehicle’s condition.
However, the revealed agreement unveils that Portable was contractually obligated to pay the full N27 million for his Mercedes Benz GLE 350 as of February 2024.
According to the document, Portable made an initial payment of N12 million in January 2024 and committed to paying the remaining balance in installments. The agreement stipulated that failure to comply with the payment schedule would empower the car dealer to reclaim the Mercedes Benz GLE from Portable without any refund.
The agreement outlined, “Failure to comply with all these agreement or failure to fulfill this kind of payment MR. OGUNSANWO TEMITOPE (TEMMY AUTOS) has the power to retrieve the Mercedes Benz GLE back from me BADMUS OKIKIOLA HABEEB (AKA PORTABLE) without any refund.”
The leaked document provides insight into the contractual terms between Portable and the car dealer, adding depth to the ongoing legal dispute between the two parties
