Manchester United’s manager, Pep Guardiola, is confident that Vincent Kompany, the club’s former captain, will eventually take on the role of manager at the club.
Kompany has been steadily climbing the coaching ranks, starting at Anderlecht in Belgium and moving on to Burnley, where he successfully led the team to promotion to the Premier League last season.
Despite his efforts, Burnley couldn’t maintain their Premier League status during the 2023-2024 season and were relegated.
However, Kompany is now rumored to be a strong candidate for the managerial position at Bayern Munich, one of Europe’s top clubs, for the upcoming season.
When asked about Kompany’s potential move from Burnley to Bayern Munich, Guardiola stated, “Vincent Kompany will become a future Manchester City manager, mark my words. It will happen for sure. You’ll call me when it happens.”
Guardiola, who managed Kompany at Manchester City from 2016 to 2019, added, “Relegation with Burnley doesn’t diminish my respect for his work. His personality, knowledge of the game, and media skills are exceptional. I’d be thrilled to see Kompany at Bayern.”
