Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has hinted that he intends to stay at the club for the foreseeable future, citing his strong relationship with the Gunners.
Arteta, who has been at Arsenal since 2019, faced criticism in his initial seasons, with calls from fans for his dismissal. However, recent seasons have seen improved performance, with Arsenal competing closely with Manchester City for the Premier League title.
During his tenure, the 43-year-old Spaniard has guided Arsenal to an FA Cup victory and two Community Shields.
Given the stability he has brought to the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal’s management is expected to extend his contract beyond its current expiration date of June 30, 2025. Arteta expressed confidence in his future at the club, stating to ESPN, “There is no update [on his contract]at the moment. The thing that hasn’t changed is how happy I am and how valued I feel here and how much I love representing this club.”
He added, “Our relationship is so good that I don’t foresee any issues arising. Things will naturally progress in the right direction.”
