Four English Premier League clubs—Fulham, Aston Villa, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and West Ham United—are all eyeing Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze as a possible transfer target for January.
Chukwueze, currently signed with AC Milan, could be available for a move if Milan secures a replacement, with Manchester United’s Brazilian winger Antony reportedly on their radar. Aston Villa seems to have an edge in the race due to manager Unai Emery’s previous partnership with Chukwueze at Villarreal, where they achieved remarkable success together, winning the Europa League and advancing to the Champions League semi-finals.
Since joining Milan on a five-year deal in July 2023, Chukwueze has had limited opportunities to establish himself, having started in only 14 out of 33 games this season. In those appearances, he’s made solid contributions, with three goals and three assists, but regular starts have been hard to come by. Despite the challenges, he has shown his attacking flair, most recently with a decisive goal against Udinese and an assist in Milan’s Champions League victory over Club Brugge. However, his performance was less impactful in Milan’s 2-0 loss to Napoli, where he played the full 90 minutes but struggled to break through.
With January approaching, Chukwueze’s future with AC Milan hangs in the balance, especially as the club looks to strengthen their offense. His performances in the coming weeks could play a crucial role in determining whether he remains in Serie A or makes a move to the Premier League.
