President Bola Tinubu has restructured two key appointments within his media and communications team, aiming to improve the government’s communication framework.
The announcement, shared by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, confirmed that the roles of Daniel Bwala and Sunday Dare have been redefined to enhance operational efficiency.
Onanuga clarified that the presidency will not have a single spokesperson, emphasizing a team-based approach to government communications.
The updated roles are as follows:
- Sunday Dare: Previously Special Adviser on Public Communication and National Orientation, he is now Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications.
- Daniel Bwala: Formerly announced as Special Adviser on Media and Public Communication, he is now Special Adviser on Policy Communication.
This restructuring ensures that the three advisers—spanning Public Communications, Policy Communication, and Information and Strategy—will collectively manage the government’s messaging.
“This collaborative approach is designed to deliver effective and unified communication of government policies, actions, and engagements,” Onanuga stated.
