Nigerian comedian and actor Julian Stanley, better known as Funny Bone, has shared a surprising story about a falling-out with a former friend over a rather unusual request. The comedian revealed on his Instagram story that the friend, a fellow university alum, stopped speaking to him after he declined to provide Pastor Jerry Eze’s direct phone number.
Funny Bone explained that he didn’t have the pastor’s contact at the time and added that even if he did, it wouldn’t have been appropriate to share it so easily. Reflecting on the situation, he expressed relief that their communication ended, calling it a mutual decision.
He didn’t hold back his thoughts, calling out his former friend’s behavior as entitled and petty. With his characteristic humor, he joked about the situation, likening it to unnecessary drama people sometimes bring into friendships.
“So, an old university friend stopped talking to me because I didn’t give her Pastor Jerry Eze’s phone number. A number I didn’t even have at the time! And even if I did, why should I just hand it out?” he said. “Honestly, I’m glad we’re not talking anymore. The feeling is mutual. Some people’s entitlement and pettiness can be truly exhausting. Man like Funny.”
Funny Bone’s lighthearted approach to the incident adds a comedic twist to what could have been an awkward scenario, showcasing his knack for turning everyday events into relatable humor.
