The United States Embassy in Vanuatu has been temporarily closed following significant damage caused by a powerful earthquake on Tuesday.
In a statement shared by the U.S. Embassy in Papua New Guinea, officials confirmed that the Port Vila mission sustained extensive damage, leading to its closure until further notice.
“Our hearts go out to everyone impacted by this earthquake,” the statement read, expressing solidarity with those affected by the natural disaster.
