Ghana’s Finance Minister, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, has urged the Ministry of Finance staff to unite in tackling the nation’s economic challenges.
During his first meeting with the Ministry’s top management on January 23, 2025, following his parliamentary approval and swearing-in by President John Dramani Mahama, Dr. Forson shared his vision for revitalizing Ghana’s economy.
Accompanied by former Deputy Finance Minister Fifi Kwetey, Dr. Forson expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity to serve once again, calling it a privilege.
“Our goal is to work collaboratively to uplift the lives of Ghanaians, ensuring their needs guide our decisions,” he remarked.
Dr. Forson outlined his main objectives, including creating employment opportunities, carefully managing public finances, stabilizing the exchange rate, and curbing inflation. These steps, he stressed, are critical for addressing the country’s pressing economic issues.
His call for teamwork underscores a commitment to fostering progress and stability, with a clear message to Ministry staff: success depends on collective effort.
