Thomas Partey Ready to Commit Future to Arsenal
Thomas Partey isn’t planning to pack his bags anytime soon.
Despite his current deal running out in just a couple of months, the Ghanaian midfielder has reportedly made it clear—he wants to stay at Arsenal.
Sources close to the player say Partey is turning down big-money offers from other clubs because he’s eager to sign a new contract and continue his journey in North London. The 31-year-old joined Arsenal in 2020 after leaving Atlético Madrid and, even though he’ll technically become a free agent on July 1, he’s pushing to finalize an extension before the season wraps up on May 25.
Manager Mikel Arteta is believed to be keen on keeping him in the squad, and discussions around a new deal have been underway for a while. Partey has drawn attention from clubs including Barcelona and his former side Atlético, but for now, he seems focused on staying put.
Meanwhile in Spain… Vinicius Jr. Eyes a Better Deal at Madrid
While Partey looks to stay with the Gunners, Vinicius Jr. is also making moves—off the pitch.
The Brazilian forward is reportedly trying to negotiate improved terms in his current contract with Real Madrid. Although he’s signed until 2027 and already earns a sizable wage, Vinicius is hoping for a raise—reportedly targeting close to €30 million per year.
Some reports have hinted at supposed interest from Saudi Arabia, including whispers of a monster offer worth over £800 million. But as it stands, no formal offer has been made. Still, his representatives are said to be using the rumors to help boost his position in talks with Madrid.
Despite a tough season for Los Blancos—who are at risk of ending the campaign without a trophy—Vinicius remains one of the team’s brightest stars. Managerial changes, including the anticipated arrival of Xabi Alonso, could play a role in how contract negotiations unfold over the coming months.
For now, both players seem focused on locking in their futures—with one staying loyal to North London, and the other holding out for a bigger reward in Madrid.
