In a recent chat with BBC Radio 1Xtra in London, Burna Boy gave fans a rare peek into his personal life—and it turns out, the road is his only real home for now.
When asked if starting a family was on the horizon, the 34-year-old global music star didn’t hesitate: not anytime soon. The reason? Touring. Constantly.
“I don’t want to start that on the road,” Burna admitted. “I’m not planning on quitting tours anytime soon, so I don’t even know where to put that—how to find a middle ground.”
The conversation took an even more unexpected turn when he revealed he’s never been on vacation. Ever.
“You’ve just kept going,” the interviewer noted, almost in disbelief. Burna’s reply? A simple, “I have to.”
Curious, the host pressed further, asking what “resting Burna Boy” might look like. “Nah, I don’t know, you know,” Burna confessed. “I’ve never been on a vacation.”
Even the idea of Burna Boy relaxing on a beach with his toes in the sand made for a laugh. “I’ve never seen Burna Boy on a beach… I want to see your toes, bro,” the interviewer joked.
Laughing, Burna grinned and assured, “No, my toes are nice, you know.”
For now, the music never stops—and neither does Burna.
