Barack Obama recently joined his wife Michelle and her brother Craig Robinson on their podcast, IMO with Michelle Obama & Craig Robinson—and let’s just say, they didn’t hold back when it came to the rumors about their relationship.
Right off the bat, Michelle put the speculation to rest. “There hasn’t been a single moment I ever thought of walking away from my husband,” she said, with the kind of calm confidence only Michelle can deliver. She acknowledged that their journey has had ups and downs, but added that being married to Barack has helped her grow.
Barack, in classic form, lightened the mood. “She took me back! There was a minute there—it was close!” he quipped, sparking laughter from both Michelle and Craig. Michelle even poked fun at how quickly people jump to conclusions: “Any time we’re not in the same room, folks think we’ve split.”
The gossip started swirling after Barack showed up solo at a few major events—like Donald Trump’s inauguration and Jimmy Carter’s funeral. Still, he seemed completely unfazed. “Half the time, I don’t even know people are talking about us. Someone will bring it up and I’m just like, ‘Wait, what?’” he laughed.
Michelle later posted a short clip from the episode on Instagram, writing, “I’ve said this before, but I’ll say it again—my home is my family. My home is Barack.”
And while the headline moments came from the rumor mill, the episode also dived into something deeper: what it really means to raise emotionally aware kids and build a relationship that lasts through all seasons.
