Tiwa Savage has opened up about the emotional weight she’s carrying after running into unexpected visa delays that disrupted her plans—both personal and professional.
In a heartfelt Snapchat update, the music star revealed her frustration as she still hasn’t received word on whether her travel visa has been approved. With her passport stuck in processing, Tiwa shared how it’s putting a major project in jeopardy—a critical London shoot tied to her upcoming album and its release timeline.
“I honestly don’t even know if the visa was granted or not. My passport’s not out. I have a big shoot lined up in London, and missing it could set everything back. I feel like crying,” she wrote.
Adding to the disappointment, she said she had special birthday travel plans for her son, Jamil, which are now completely off the table. “Jamil’s birthday is tomorrow, and everything I planned for him is ruined. My heart is so heavy,” she confessed. “I’m just going to shut down today and pray for peace and clarity tomorrow.”
In another recent moment of vulnerability, Tiwa shared a touching story about parenting. She recalled yelling at her son over something that upset her, only to find him quietly cuddled next to her later on the bed. She admitted she expected him to be distant, but his gentle presence reminded her of the emotional push and pull that comes with being a mom.
“It’s not easy raising a child,” she noted, “but moments like that remind me it’s the most beautiful journey of all.”
