Reality TV star Josephine Otabor, better known as Phyna, has fired back at a critic who accused her of ignoring a protest in Edo State over accidents involving Dangote trucks.
The protest, led by activist Martins Vincent Otse (popularly called Verydarkman), was organized after repeated crashes involving Dangote trucks, which have left many victims battling injuries and unpaid hospital bills.
Phyna has a personal stake in the issue, as one of the trucks was responsible for the accident that caused her sister to lose a leg. She had previously spoken out against the company and joined others, including Apostle Johnson Suleman, in demanding accountability after another tragic incident claimed three lives in Edo.
Despite this, a fan criticized Phyna for not being present at the Auchi protest, accusing her of backing out after initially raising her voice on the matter.
In a heated response, the former BBNaija winner explained that she could not abandon her sister, who remains in hospital, simply to attend a demonstration. According to her, her priority is her sister’s recovery and fighting for justice for victims, not proving a point at a protest ground.
Her reply was sharp and emotional, making it clear that her energy is focused on the people directly affected, especially her own family.
