Bolanle Ninalowo has raised the alarm over fraudsters using his identity to deceive unsuspecting people online.
The actor revealed the warning after a woman claimed she lost $5,000 in a romance scam carried out by someone pretending to be him. She reportedly reached out through email, sharing screenshots of conversations, photos, and even bank transactions as evidence.
Ninalowo made it clear he had nothing to do with the incident, stressing that scammers have been creating fake accounts in his name to trick vulnerable victims. He advised the public to stay alert, especially when approached by anyone claiming to be him on the internet.
According to him, these impersonators could target anyone at any time, and falling for such schemes only leads to heartbreak and financial loss.
In his words, after the woman realized she had been duped, she tracked down his real page and began sending him threatening messages. The actor expressed his frustration, urging people to be more vigilant and recognize the red flags before it’s too late.
“Wake up,” he warned. “If you’re in an online relationship with anyone claiming to be me, or about to start one, you’re being scammed.”
