Mohammed Bello, a well-known political figure in Yobe State and former senatorial hopeful, has announced his resignation from the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Bello, who made his decision public alongside a group of loyal supporters, submitted a formal withdrawal letter to the APC Ward Chairman in Gwange, Damaturu. In the letter, he described his departure as a step toward freedom, stating it was in the best interest of both himself and his community.
Reflecting on his time in the party, Bello expressed appreciation for the opportunities and connections he gained but emphasized that it was time to move on. “After much thought, I believe this is the right decision for me and for those I represent,” he wrote.
He also returned his APC membership card with the letter, marking a definitive end to his journey with the ruling party.
