Afrobeats star and entrepreneur, Oluwatosin Ajibade — widely known as Mr Eazi — has shared his ambition to one day become a president.
In a video posted on Snapchat, the “Skin Tight” hitmaker, who is married to Temi Otedola, daughter of billionaire Femi Otedola, opened up about his political dreams.
According to him, he has been thinking about running for the presidency of an African country, describing the kind of leader he hopes to be — one focused on progress, not power or wealth.
“I’ve been thinking about it for a while. Some of you might be from a country in Africa looking for a president who isn’t driven by money or power but someone young, active, and forward-thinking. I’m officially putting myself forward,” he said.
Mr Eazi also reflected on a tough moment from his early business days, revealing that he once lost ₦19 million in a failed diesel supply deal at just 19 years old.
He explained that he had borrowed money from his uncle and his wife to start the venture, believing it would be successful. The deal, however, went south after a sudden government deregulation caused diesel prices to drop drastically, locking up his funds for months and ending his planned supply agreement with MTN.
Despite the loss, Mr Eazi’s story reflects resilience, vision, and an unwavering belief in growth — qualities that continue to shape his journey beyond music.
