Former Big Brother Naija favorites, Natacha Akide (Tacha) and Mercy Eke, have left fans pleasantly surprised after celebrating four years of friendship—despite the long-standing perception of rivalry between them.
In a lighthearted video shared on Wednesday, the two reality stars were seen laughing and reminiscing about their bond, putting to rest years of speculation about tension between them.
Tacha revealed in the clip that they’ve actually been on good terms for quite some time. “We’ve been cool for years—about four years now,” she said with a smile. Mercy also mentioned that fans had been encouraging them to make the video to clear the air.
The heartwarming moment quickly spread across social media, with fans thrilled to see the duo together again.
Their reconciliation comes six years after their infamous clash during the Big Brother Naija Pepper Dem season in 2019—a feud that ended with Tacha’s disqualification and Mercy receiving two strikes. Despite the drama, both women went on to carve successful paths for themselves. Mercy became the show’s first female winner, while Tacha grew into one of Nigeria’s most influential media personalities and entrepreneurs.
Meanwhile, Tacha recently opened up about her current view on marriage, saying she can no longer marry purely for love. According to her, financial compatibility now plays a major role in her decision.
“As a millionaire, I can’t settle for less,” she explained. “If I’m getting married, my partner should be within my financial circle—a billionaire, preferably.”
Her statement has since sparked conversations online, as fans continue to react to her bold and unapologetic stance.
