Sammy West, younger brother of Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, has reaffirmed his commitment to protecting his sister from harm.
Earlier, Sammy was arrested following a petition from Regina’s estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, and was remanded in prison. He regained his freedom on Monday, November 10.
In a heartfelt video call shared on social media, Sammy told Regina he is willing to go to prison repeatedly if it means keeping her safe from physical assault.
“For my family matter, I’m ready to go to prison five times. As long as nobody hurts you again, I’m ready,” he said, prompting a visibly emotional Regina to express her love for him. She captioned the post, “I love you so much, my brother. Nobody will hurt me again—my brother said it.”
In a related discussion, Nollywood actress Doris Ogala addressed claims about Regina’s age at the time of her marriage to Senator Nwoko. Doris stated she had seen Regina’s birth certificate and international passport, confirming that the actress was 17 years old when she married in May 2019.
“Only a mother can truly know when she gave birth to her child. I’ve seen Regina’s official documents—she was born on October 10, 2001, and was 17+ when she got married,” Doris explained.
