BBNaija Winner Imisi Ayanwale Speaks Out After Mother’s Claims
Big Brother Naija Season 10 winner, Imisi Ayanwale, has responded to her mother’s recent allegations, questioning why the situation is only being brought to the public now that she has become famous.
The issue began after her mother posted videos online on November 16, claiming she had been abandoned and was still living in difficult conditions despite Imisi’s ₦150 million win.
Imisi, in a statement shared on Instagram, expressed shock at the sudden accusations. She explained that her mother had not been part of her life for long stretches of time, often going one or two years without checking in.
She revealed that their relationship had always been strained, and the outburst felt unexpected. According to her, she has supported her mother consistently and even sent money shortly before the videos went viral.
Imisi added that she cannot use her prize money solely to please one person, especially now that several family members are relying on her.
She wrote:
“Before I won BBNaija, you wouldn’t call me for one or two years. So why is there an issue now? God knows I’ve tried. I still sent you money last week and four days ago. Will I kill myself?”
“I can’t take from the money I won just to make one person comfortable. I have many people in the family looking up to me alone. You weren’t there during the hardest moments of my life.”
