The 12th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards is officially in motion, and as expected, the Cultural Night arrived with all the drama, beauty, and unforgettable fashion moments fans look forward to every year.
More than just a glamorous event, Cultural Night remains one of the most meaningful parts of the AMVCA celebration. It’s the evening where celebrities proudly embrace their roots, using fashion to tell stories about heritage, identity, and culture through bold and creative looks.
From richly detailed fabrics to regal silhouettes, the night was filled with standout appearances. Earlier in the evening, Ibrahim and Linda Ejiofor-Suleiman turned heads with a royal Edo-inspired ensemble that immediately set the tone for the event. And of course, the stars of Big Brother Naija Season 10 also came ready to make their mark.

Dede
Representing the elegance and richness of Delta State culture, Dede stepped out in a look that blended tradition with modern sophistication. Kaybobo stepped into AMVCA Cultural Night with a look that demanded attention from the moment he arrived.
Inspired by the “ÒKÍN,” the peacock often regarded as the king of birds in Yoruba culture, his outfit was a bold celebration of royalty, confidence, and tradition. He wore a richly detailed green and purple Aso-Oke Agbada that instantly stood out against the crowd, bringing together colour, culture, and elegance in one striking appearance.
The vibrant tones gave the look its regal energy, while the green glass beads added texture and depth, elevating the entire outfit with a luxurious finish. Every detail felt intentional, from the rich fabric choices to the commanding silhouette of the Agbada itself.

Kaybobo didn’t just attend Cultural Night—he arrived with a full statement.

Imisi arrived at AMVCA Cultural Night in a look that beautifully honoured her Yoruba roots while still feeling bold and fashion-forward.
Wrapped in rich Adire fabric and adorned with cowries, the BBNaija Season 10 winner used her outfit to tell a deeper story about heritage, identity, and pride. Every part of the look felt intentional, reflecting the strength and beauty of a daughter of Yoruba soil.
Her blue-and-white gown stood out instantly, blending traditional influence with modern elegance. One of the most striking details was the woven mat placed across her shoulders—a symbolic piece that carried meaning beyond style. It served as a reminder that culture is not just something people wear for occasions, but something they carry with them every day.

Jason Jae brought a strong sense of Northern royalty to AMVCA Cultural Night, stepping out in a look that blended tradition, elegance, and drama effortlessly.
He wore a flowing black velvet robe that swept to the floor, instantly giving the outfit a regal presence. The rich velvet fabric was detailed with gold braided trimming along the edges, adding contrast and a luxurious finish that elevated the entire ensemble.
One of the standout details was the fur-lined shoulder design, which gave the look even more depth and authority. It carried the kind of commanding energy that made it impossible to overlook.
To complete the outfit, Jason added a translucent gold face veil that introduced mystery and sophistication, while the feathered Zanna cap tied everything back to Northern cultural heritage in a striking way.

Mensan Awaji Malachi James arrived at AMVCA Cultural Night embodying the presence and pride of an Ijaw prince, and his look carried the rich spirit of the Nigerian Delta beautifully.
Dressed in a striking black and silver brocade robe, he brought elegance and tradition together in a way that immediately stood out. The detailed fabric gave the outfit a regal finish, while the long flowing silhouette added the kind of presence fit for royalty.
Layered over his shoulder was traditional George fabric, a timeless element that added cultural depth and authenticity to the look. Every detail felt rooted in heritage, from the textures to the styling choices.
He completed the ensemble with a bold red-and-gold crown and coral beads, both of which added richness, colour, and a royal touch that tied the entire appearance together perfectly.
More than just a fashion moment, Mensan’s outfit felt like a proud celebration of identity, culture, and the beauty of the Niger Delta tradition.

Shaun Okojie made a bold entrance at AMVCA Cultural Night, proudly representing his Edo heritage with a look that carried both tradition and royal energy.
Announcing himself with the statement, “The Omo N’Oba has arrived,” Shaun stepped into the event with confidence and presence that matched the outfit perfectly.
He wore a crisp white long-sleeved tunic layered beneath a rich wine-coloured velvet robe detailed with gold embroidery. The velvet fabric gave the look depth and elegance, while the gold accents added a refined touch that elevated the entire ensemble.
Keeping things classic and culturally rooted, he completed the look with a single strand of coral beads—a timeless symbol strongly associated with Edo royalty and tradition.
The combination of deep colours, regal textures, and minimal but meaningful accessories gave Shaun’s appearance a polished and commanding finish. It was a look that celebrated culture without doing too much, proving once again that simplicity, when done right, can leave a lasting impression.
