Cultural Day at the AMVCA Cultural Day is always one of the most anticipated fashion moments of the entire weekend, and this year is no different. It’s a night where heritage takes centre stage, and every look tells a story rooted in identity, craftsmanship, and pride.
Before the runway fills with the usual parade of breathtaking styles, all eyes are already on Nollywood couple Ibrahim Suleiman and Linda Ejiofor, who delivered a beautifully coordinated cultural tribute that celebrates Edo heritage in a refined, modern way.
Ibrahim embraced tradition in a crisp white long-sleeved robe detailed with dark embroidery across the chest. He completed the look with coral beads layered across his neck and wrists, alongside a striking coral-toned velvet cap that tied the entire aesthetic together. His finishing touches — dark sunglasses and a classic wristwatch — added a subtle contemporary edge to the traditional Edo-inspired styling.
Linda, on the other hand, brought pure elegance with a rich wine velvet corset dress adorned with intricate lace and sequin detailing. Her standout moment was her traditional Edo Okuku hairstyle — a coral-beaded crown styled into a sculpted bun, instantly elevating the entire look into something regal and unforgettable. She completed the ensemble with layered coral beads, matching earrings, and a traditional beaded accessory that grounded the look in heritage.
Together, they embodied the theme of the night effortlessly — love, culture, and style in perfect harmony.
And this is just the beginning. The AMVCA Cultural Night is still unfolding, and more fashion moments are expected to light up the celebration as the night goes on.
