Julia Roberts is dripping with affection for her lifelong friend George Clooney!
Clooney, 55, donned a unique black Moschino scoop neckline taffeta gown with a bright mosaic of several framed images of her frequent co-star at the Kennedy Center Honors, where she was honored Sunday night.
The garment, which was ordered from the brand’s creative director Jeremy Scott and featured images of Clooney, 61, from his early appearances in Hollywood through his ER heartthrob years to his most recent bearded days, was posted online by Roberts’ stylist Elizabeth Stewart.
Roberts wore the ensemble to the red carpet and posed for photos while wearing a black cropped blazer by Moschino and hoop earrings by Chopard.
Along the red carpet earlier that night, George saved his wife Amal Clooney from a potential wardrobe mishap.
Amal, 44, wore a red Valentino dress with a matching cloak and clutch that at one point got tangled on the carpet while photographers took shots of her.
Before they posed for pictures, George, 61, rescued his wife of eight years, with whom he shares 5-year-old twins Ella and Alexander, by untangling her lengthy accessories piece.
The evening’s honorees were U2, Amy Grant, Gladys Knight, conductor-composer Tania León, and George Clooney.
According to ABC News, George stated, “Growing up in a little town in Kentucky, I could never have dreamt that someday I’d be the one sitting in the balcony at the Kennedy Center Honors.”
“It is an honor to be acknowledged alongside the rest of these outstanding performers. The entire Clooney family will find this genuinely exciting, “The actor’s parents, Nick and Nina, were also present to cheer him on.
