Big Brother Naija Season 10 finalist, Kola Omotosho, has opened up about why he won’t be marrying the show’s winner, Opeyemi Ayanwale, better known as Imisi — despite their close connection both inside and outside the house.
During their time on the show, Kola and Imisi shared a warm bond that left many viewers speculating about a possible romance. They were often seen together, teasing each other and sharing moments that made fans believe love might be in the air. However, both consistently described their relationship as purely brother-sister.
Even after the show ended, their public appearances together fueled more rumours of a romantic link — until Kola finally addressed the matter during a recent livestream.
Responding to fans’ questions, he made it clear that there was nothing romantic between them.
“Imisi is my sister, I can’t marry my sister,” he said. “Imisi is in her house, I’m in mine. Please, can we make this about me?”
He urged fans to stop pairing them and to focus instead on his personal journey and career.
During the show, Kola had shown mild interest in another housemate, Dede, but that connection never went beyond friendship as she was already in a relationship outside the house. After the show, Dede also confirmed that even if she had been single, she wouldn’t have dated Kola because they weren’t compatible.
Kola’s honesty has drawn admiration from fans who appreciate his maturity and openness about setting boundaries.
