In a Monday night interview, Donald Trump shared his belief that President Joe Biden will remain in the presidential race despite concerns about his mental fitness.
“I think he might very well stay in,” Trump told Sean Hannity on Fox News. This was Trump’s first interview since their contentious debate last month. “He’s got an ego and he doesn’t want to quit,” Trump added.
During the CNN-hosted debate in Atlanta, Biden frequently lost his train of thought and sometimes spoke incoherently, appearing dazed. Trump gave his first detailed account of the event, saying, “It was a strange debate. Within a couple of minutes, his answers didn’t make a lot of sense.”
Trump mentioned that he avoided looking at Biden too much but did take a few glances. “I took a couple of peeks when he was giving some really bad answers,” he said. “They weren’t even answers. They were just words put together that had no meaning or sense.”
