Nigerian singer and content creator Lawal Michael Nasiru Bolaji, widely known as Nasboi, has advised Nigerians to stop using celebrity marriages as a blueprint for relationships.
The skit maker shared his thoughts following the intense reactions to 2Baba’s recent announcement about his separation from his wife, Annie.
Taking to X, Nasboi wrote, “One celebrity divorce happens, and suddenly, marriage isn’t for you? Meanwhile, your parents have been together for over 30 years. Stop letting celebrity relationships shape your views on marriage. If you don’t want to marry, that’s your choice.”
In another post, Nasboi revealed that when he eventually gets married, he will keep it private. He emphasized that he doesn’t want outsiders offering opinions about his personal life, saying, “I’ll keep my marriage off the internet. Please, no online drama! I don’t need random people discussing my life.”
Meanwhile, Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has weighed in on 2Baba and Annie’s marital issues, stating that their separation was inevitable.
She claimed on Instagram that Annie had used spiritual means to hold onto the marriage. Doris also dismissed the idea that Annie was the victim in the relationship, insisting that 2Baba had suffered in silence.
Despite the current situation, Doris believes the couple will reconcile and urged 2Baba’s family to intervene. She also criticized those supporting Annie, claiming they are misleading her and that 2Baba’s struggles have affected his music career.
