The hip-hop mogul has no plans to slow down in 2023, with new movies, TV shows, and music.
On Instagram, he shared a headline about Eminem becoming the most-watched rapper on YouTube in 2022, while also touting his own ambitious plans for the new year, which include a return to music.
“That’s my Boy,” 50 captioned the photo. “This year, I’m going to remind everyone that I’m nice. Let’s go! New Music, New TV, New Movie!”

It’s unclear whether 50 intends to release a full music project. He hasn’t released a new album since Animal Ambition, which debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 in 2014.
He announced in December 2021 that he would release one more album before possibly retiring. “Smile, because my next album might be my last,” he joked. “Don’t believe me Nielsen, the numbers will never lie, but I’m nobody’s favorite Smh.”
The rap legend has released one-off songs in the eight years since his last album, including last year’s “Power Powder Respect” featuring Jeremih and Lil Durk, the theme to his “Power” spinoff series “Force.”
He previously stated that he intended to retire from the mic after the release of his previously shelved album Street King Immortal.
“I want to finish that project,” he said in 2016 to Muscle & Fitness. “I don’t want to make another record after that. Do you know how some artists got confirmation that they were correct? I have proof in the f*cking 35, 40 million [albums]I’ve already sold.”
Aside from music, 50 is planning his next move after leaving Starz. He signed a three-project deal with Lusid Media in October, which includes an unscripted true crime series for Peacock.
