According to 50 Cent, Future has the streets under control.
During an interview with MSNBC’s Ari Melber, Future was asked if he believes Future is “bigger in the streets” than JAY-Z.
“Future said in the streets he’s bigger than Hov,” Melber said when asked what makes a hip-hop artist relevant.
“He is, way bigger,” 50 responded before arguing for Future’s catalog. “He has consistent music that didn’t chart but [is]huge records that people love and appreciate.”
While Future is popular in the streets, 50 claims he has fewer chart-topping hits. “Future has to be No. 1 internally because those records did not chart,” he explained. “Later in his career, they’re not going to look at the stats and say, ‘We should pay you this much money because of street records that were great.'”
Future echoed 50’s sentiments in December 2021 when he declared, “In the streets, I’m bigger than jigga.” Fans reacted differently to his tweet.
In the streets im bigger then jigga. Ima run me a B up easy.

Melber also asked 50 if he thought JAY-Z, Kendrick Lamar, and Nas were the top three rappers. “They’re still good artists, but not all-time greats,” he says.
He also disagreed with JAY-Z being No. 2 after him. “I doubt it. It is determined by the time period. “How do you not look at the No. 1 selling artist?” he asked, implying that Eminem, who has “sold like 90 million records,” should be in the top three.
