Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni Gives Update on Self-Isolation Status

Ugandans and, especially the Bazzukulu.
Greetings. It is now day 5 of my corona-status. Last night, I slept very well up to the 10th hour of the night (saa kumi za usiku –what the Europeans call 4am). This time, the dull headache was not there, nor was the mild throbbing… pic.twitter.com/Zikr4WjBbm

President Museveni had tested positive for the virus on June 7th and announced the following day that he would be taking a period of “forced leave” to focus on his recovery.
In a detailed Twitter post, he provided an update on his condition, stating, “Greetings. Today marks the fifth day since I tested positive for Covid-19. I had a restful night’s sleep until the early hours of the morning.” He also emphasized the importance of Covid vaccinations and booster shots, particularly for the elderly, urging Ugandans to prioritize their health.
Unfounded rumors began circulating on Twitter recently, suggesting that President Museveni had been transferred to intensive care and subsequently succumbed to Covid-related complications. However, these claims lack validity and should be treated with caution.
While the World Health Organization declared Covid-19 no longer a global health emergency last month, it cautioned that the virus would continue to mutate. It remains essential for individuals to remain vigilant and adhere to necessary precautions to curb the spread of the virus.
