If you have a child, whether you attended school to earn an education degree or not, you immediately become a teacher. You occasionally need something to occupy and entertain your child during the vacation break from school.
Fortunately, parents may use a variety of online tools to occupy their kids, including arithmetic tutorials and history courses. While some of these resources are subscription services, others are free. You’ll be happy to learn that, especially during the Summer holidays, even those frequently provide discounts.
If you’re looking for the ideal online courses for your children, these are the top five.
1. GoNoodle
Many schools in America employ GoNoodle meditation and mindfulness DVDs. The platform does, however, also provide free activities, STEM blog entries, online movies, as well as content related to nature, food, music, etc.
Students can view short (1–5 minute) videos on a variety of subjects, such as composting and developing healthy routines. They can take part in exercises to put their newfound knowledge to the test. Social studies, music, health, science, English, and Spanish are among the subjects covered by GoNoodle.
The program is designed for students in Preschool to Grade 6.
2.Camp Wonderopolis
The National Center for Families Learning sponsors the online course Camp Wonderopolis (NCFL). Children may learn about subjects including technology, the weather, and food at this online camp. For children of all ages, the themes include films, outdoor activities, lessons, and more reading recommendations.
The instruction manual for parents is an optional $25 extra at Camp Wonderopolis, which is free for campers. It serves children from seven years old and up.
3. Kanopy
Kids from the age of 3 and above can benefit much from this fantastic free training. The Kanopy app gives you access to all of the free entertainment and instructional movies. A library card is all you require. The majority of the information on this site is comparable to what you would discover at a well-stocked library.
It provides a wide range of carefully chosen award-winning movies, top-notch children’s and adult television series, and informative programs. The animated novels available on Kanopy are top-notch and include works by Weston Woods and other stars. Your child will be completely entertained while picking up new ideas.
4. Khan Academy
An NGO called Khan Academy provides free online education. It serves students in preschool through high school. Your 5-year-old can learn to write simple words and phrases at Khan Academy, while your teenager can catch up on their algebra class.
Kodi, a cute cartoon bear, leads your child through the primary early-learning themes in the Kids app for kids. It largely emphasizes creativity and social-emotional abilities.
Kids may learn mathematics in Khan Academy Kids, and you can be sure that the lessons and content they are exposed to are of the best quality.
5. Code with Google
Nearly everyone is familiar with Google. For the past few years, children nine years of age and older have had access to coding and technical skill classes provided by this enormous organization. The lessons are instructive and enjoyable, similar to using online math tutors to study math.
Coding is taught to students starting in Grade 4 through interactive lessons, lesson supplements, and exercises. Another important aspect of learning is developing and maintaining a compelling plot.
