Paris Saint-Germain star Achraf Hakimi has spoken openly about how the rape allegation against him has weighed heavily on his family, particularly his young children.
The Moroccan defender was accused last year by a 24-year-old woman, a case that quickly grabbed headlines in France and abroad, throwing his career and private life under the spotlight.
In a recent interview with Canal+, Hakimi admitted the experience has been one of the toughest chapters of his life.
“I have never been subjected to such harm,” he said. “It was difficult then, and it still is. When lies are written over and over again, it hurts deeply—especially when it concerns my family.”
What worries him most, he added, is the impact on his children:
“They are still very young. They don’t use the internet, they can’t read. But one day they will, and they’ll come across these things. For them to read such lies about their father—that’s something I wouldn’t wish on anyone.”
At 26, Hakimi has established himself as one of PSG’s most reliable players, but off the pitch, the allegations have tested his strength and stained his public image.
He continues to maintain his innocence and says he believes the truth will eventually prevail over the damaging claims.
