The pop icon is reportedly planning a world tour for this year. Following her halftime performance at Super Bowl LVII on Sunday, Feb. 12, she will announce dates for her first tour in over six years, according to The Sun.
According to reports, the tour will begin in North America before heading to Europe in 2024. The new mother is planning “mini residencies in major cities” to avoid having to change venues every day.
“She has her North American dates ready to announce for 2023 after the Super Bowl, and it will only be a matter of time before she announces European dates for 2024,” the insider said. “Rather than visiting multiple places, her plan is to set up mini-residences in major cities.”
The anticipation for her Super Bowl performance, which will reportedly include new music, is growing.
“Rihanna’s Super Bowl halftime show will be one of the best of all time,” the insider added. “She’s been working nonstop on every aspect of the show. The list of songs that made the cut is pretty extensive and spans Rihanna’s entire career, including the new one she’s about to embark on.”
Rihanna, who was recently nominated for her first Oscar, hasn’t toured since her 2016 “Anti World Tour” in support of her last studio album Anti.
Fans have been waiting for the sequel for seven years, but it is unclear when it will be released.
“One thing is the Super Bowl. Another thing is new music. “Do you hear what I’m saying, fans?” In November, Rihanna told The Associated Press. “The second that I announced this, I said, ‘Oh, my God, they’re going to think my album is coming. “I have to get to work.”
Beyoncé announced the dates for her “Renaissance World Tour” earlier this week, which begins May 10 in Stockholm.
