Adele, a British singer, said that she would be halting her musical career to seek a degree in English literature. The 34-year-old singer said this while participating in a fan Q&A in Los Angeles, according to Daily Mail UK.
Adele claimed that earning a degree had always been her goal, but that she would instead do so online and with the aid of a tutor rather than attending college.
After Vegas, I really want to earn a degree in English literature, she declared. I believe I would be a teacher if I hadn’t succeeded as a singer. I’d probably teach English literature.
“I firmly believe that my love of English literature is applied to what I do. But even though it’s unlikely that I’ll use my degree to get employment, I wish I had attended college and had that experience.
“I won’t attend a university; instead, I’ll study independently and with a tutor starting in 2025. Just to obtain the credentials.
Adele declared that she would proceed with getting the degree following her Las Vegas residency show. After a last-minute cancellation in January, her residency in Las Vegas starts in November. After postponing the performance just one day before it was scheduled, she gave them a new date in July and thanked them for their patience.
