Ademola Adeleke, the Governor of Osun State, expressed deep sorrow over the passing of the beloved Nollywood actor, Tolani Quadri Oyebamiji, affectionately known as Sisi Quadri, describing it as shocking and heartbreaking.
The governor emphasized in a heartfelt message that Sisi Quadri was an outstanding actor cherished by many.
“Sisi Quadri’s performances on screen were truly captivating, bringing joy and laughter into homes with his unique acting style,” remarked the governor.
Adeleke conveyed these sentiments in a condolence statement issued by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed.
“Tolani Quadri Oyebamiji (also known as Sisi Quadri) was a joy to watch in movies. He possessed remarkable talent that brightened homes and conveyed valuable messages.
“With his passing, the memories of the delightful moments he shared on screen, and beyond, the comic relief he provided through his artistry will endure for years,” expressed the condolence message.
“I deeply grieve his departure, recognizing the significant loss of such a brilliant talent. My sincere condolences go out to his immediate family, the people of Iwoland, the entire movie industry, and all those affected by this profound loss.
“I encourage them to find solace in his legacy of impact, particularly within the acting community.
“My heartfelt prayers are with them as they navigate through this difficult time. May Almighty Allah grant him Al-Jannah Firdaos,” the statement concluded.
Earlier reports from PUNCH Online confirmed the passing of the 44-year-old actor, a native of Iwo in Osun State, on Friday. The cause of his death remains undisclosed.
Nollywood actress, Abiola Bayo, announced his demise on her verified Instagram account, saying, “You will be greatly missed, Sisi Quadri. May your soul rest in perfect peace.”
