Everything appears to be in order as reign.
For the first time since Prince Harry’s controversial memoir, “Spare,” was released last week, King Charles III, Prince William, and Kate Middleton resumed their royal public engagements.
The crowds cheered when the Prince and Princess of Wales arrived in Liverpool to open a new hospital. They were both beaming as they waved to adoring fans while attending the exciting event.
William, 40, looked dapper in a green sweater under a sports coat, while Middleton, 41, stayed warm in a chic plaid jacket over a belted black turtleneck sweater dress. As they learned about the facilities, the couple made their way around the new hospital, shaking hands with health workers.
Meanwhile, Charles stopped by the Mid-Deeside Community Shed in Aboyne, Scotland, to pet a fan’s adorable dog. During his visit, Charles appeared calm and energetic as he drank tea with Aboyne Men’s Shed members and watched skilled craftsmen demonstrate their stone carving skills.
The 74-year-old monarch then unveiled a plaque commemorating his visit to the site. For the occasion, he wore a kilt and a tweed blazer. Despite the drama surrounding Prince Harry’s book release, the royal trio was back to work.
Throughout his memoir, Harry made a number of claims about his family members in an apparent attempt to bring down the establishment.
Harry claimed that on the day he was born, his father referred to him as his “spare” son.
“You’ve given me an heir and a spare — my work is done,” Charles is said to have told Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana.
In “Spare,” Harry claimed that his estranged brother physically assaulted him after they disagreed about his wife, Meghan Markle.
He also claimed that William and Middleton encouraged him to dress up as a Nazi at a costume party in 2005. Harry went after Middleton, claiming she made Markle cry before their wedding.
Since resigning from the royal family in 2020 and relocating to California with their two children, Archie, 3, and Lilibet, 1, Harry and Markle have been at odds with family members.
Since then, they’ve opened up about their royal lives in several candid interviews and their Netflix docuseries, “Harry & Meghan.”
Many people are now questioning Harry’s credibility because his book appears to contain factual errors throughout.
Despite their efforts to tell their side of the story, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex appear to have received backlash rather than sympathy.
