There’s something special about a couple that knows how to command attention, and Akin Faminu and Kiky Festus did exactly that at Lagos Fashion Week 2025. The stylish duo graced the runway in breathtaking pieces from LFJ’s latest collection, Orient of Africa, marking the designer’s five-year anniversary in grand style.
Kiky’s gown was a true work of art — peach and blush pink spirals wrapped around her figure in pleated perfection, each fold sculpted with precision. The design flowed like moving art, giving the illusion that the dress itself was part of the performance.
Akin, on the other hand, proved that men’s fashion can be just as bold. He wore sheer white trousers paired with a textured crinkled jacket that caught the light with every step. A patterned brown panel down the center added depth, while a wide-brimmed black hat and dark sunglasses completed the effortlessly cool look. Reflecting on the show, Akin said, “We were taken on a journey to the Orient of Africa with the LFJ debut Menswear collection, and of course, I was wearing an Off-the-Runway piece from this beautiful collection.”
LFJ’s Orient of Africa collection celebrates texture, form, and fearless expression. Watching Akin and Kiky bring these designs to life on the runway proved one thing — fashion isn’t just meant to be seen, it’s meant to be felt.
We can’t wait to see what this power couple unveils next at Lagos Fashion Week 2025.
