Country singer Billy Ray Cyrus has filed for divorce from his wife Firerose just 7 months after their wedding.
Billy is seeking an outright annulment, alleging that the marriage was obtained through fraudulent means. TMZ reported that Billy has given Firerose until May 24 to vacate their house, as he is currently covering temporary housing expenses at $500 per night for ten days.
According to court documents, Billy has offered to pay Firerose $5,000 per month for up to 90 days to secure suitable housing in Tennessee, or until the divorce is finalized, whichever comes first. The couple’s date of separation is listed as May 22, 2024, with irreconcilable differences and “inappropriate marital conduct” cited as reasons for divorce.
This marks the end of Billy Ray’s third marriage. His first marriage to Cindy Smith lasted from 1986 to 1991, while his second marriage to Tish Cyrus lasted three decades and produced three children before they divorced in April 2022.
Billy Ray and Firerose got engaged in August 2022 after meeting on the set of “Hannah Montana.” They also collaborated on music in 2021 before tying the knot in October 2023.
