Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has expressed concern over certain challenges facing Nigeria, questioning if the nation might be under a spiritual curse.
Speaking during the ongoing Holy Ghost Congress themed Onward Christian Soldiers at the Redemption City along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Pastor Adeboye called for prayers to seek divine intervention in addressing issues that seem to hinder Nigeria’s progress.
The revered cleric specifically highlighted the struggles of private refineries, attributing their setbacks to alleged interference by influential groups. He also criticized the massive financial losses incurred by the country’s four refineries, which continue to operate without yielding positive results.
Reflecting on the state of the nation, Pastor Adeboye said, “Sometimes, I look at what happens in Nigeria, and I can’t help but wonder if we’re under a curse. There are countries with far fewer resources, yet they’re thriving in ways we’re not. It’s disheartening, but I will leave it there.”
He encouraged Nigerians to unite in prayer for the nation, emphasizing that collective spiritual efforts could pave the way for solutions and progress.
